DON’T LISTEN TO THE CROWD
THE SEED
“And the multitude rebuked them, because they should hold their peace: but they cried the more, saying, Have mercy on us, O Lord, thou Son of David.” — Matthew 20:31 (KJV)
Two blind men cried out to Jesus for mercy, but the crowd tried to silence them. Refusing to be discouraged, they cried even louder—and Jesus stopped for them. Many times, the voices around us try to drown out our faith, but persistence breaks through barriers. Daniel also faced attempts to silence his prayer life. But he continued, and God shut the lions’ mouths. The same God responds today when we press in despite distractions and opposition. Whenever you’re told to be quiet, pray harder. When you’re mocked for your faith, stay focused on Jesus. Don’t let the crowd dictate your faith journey. God hears those who refuse to give up.
Reflection: The louder the resistance, the stronger your persistence must be.
