THE SEED
“Therefore everyone who hears these words of mine and puts them into practice is like a wise man who built his house on the rock.” — Matthew 7:24 (NIV)
Every building stands or falls based on its foundation. In the same way, a believer’s life must rest on something solid enough to withstand storms. Jesus tells us that those who hear His Word and obey are like a wise builder who laid a strong foundation on the rock. When the rain fell, winds blew, and floods rose, the house remained standing because it was built to last. Hearing God’s Word alone is not enough. Many listen but do not act, admire but do not apply. It is obedience—not exposure—that anchors us. Life will test every foundation through trials, disappointments, or pressure. Only those rooted in Christ will remain unmoved. You are either building on shifting sand or solid rock. Daily choices, spiritual disciplines, and obedience determine your foundation. Make the Word your bedrock, not emotions or trends. That’s how faith outlives the storm.
