WHEN PRAYER PREVAILS
THE SEED
“And being in an agony he prayed more earnestly: and his sweat was as it were great drops of blood falling down to the ground.” — Luke 22:44 (KJV)
Prevailing prayer is not casual it is intense, focused, and persistent. It is the kind of prayer that moves heaven and shifts battles. When Jesus faced His most difficult hour in Gethsemane, He prevailed through prayer before facing the cross. If He had not settled it on His knees, He would not have triumphed on the cross. Likewise, no believer can walk in lasting victory without a personal altar of prevailing prayer. There are certain victories that are not won in the open but in the secret place. Prevailing prayer happens when we press beyond emotions, weariness, and distractions. It is that point where faith meets divine intervention. Every stubborn situation bows at the place of travailing prayer. Dear beloved, before you embark on any major decision or face life’s pressures, settle it in prayer. Let your “garden of prayer” become the foundation for sweatless victories. What overwhelms you spiritually will eventually control you physically, but what is conquered in prayer bows before you.
Reflection: Every great victory begins in the place of prayer.
