CHOOSING WITH GOD IN MIND
THE SEED
“And Lot also, which went with Abram, had flocks, and herds, and tents. And the land was not able to bear them… for their substance was great.” Genesis 13:5–6 (KJV)
Lot prospered because of his connection with Abraham, yet when the time came to choose, he allowed greed to lead him toward Sodom. The fertile plains of Jordan looked appealing to his eyes, but he didn’t consider God’s will. His decision, driven by sight, cost him everything. When judgment came on Sodom, he lost his possessions and barely escaped with his life. His story warns us about choices made outside God’s counsel. Beloved, not all that glitters is God’s will. Choose with prayer, not with greed. Only what God gives can truly last.
Reflection: Choices made outside God’s will never end well.
