The Seed
“Share your food with the hungry and open your homes to the homeless poor. Give clothes to those who have nothing to wear, and do not refuse to help your own relatives. “Then my favour will shine on you like the morning sun, and your wounds will be quickly healed. I will always be with you to save you; my presence will protect you on every side.” Isaiah 58:7-8GNT
Giving alms to the less privileged is a way to intentionally provoke God’s blessings upon our life and family. Almsgiving is a way to keep our treasures in heaven where no thieves can steal them. This act will make you touch God’s heart to remember you for the good you’ve done for others and because they lack the ability to pay you back makes it heavenly rewarded act. You should not limit your attitude of almsgiving to strangers alone, your family members that are in need could benefit from it according to the leading of Holy Spirit. Almsgiving according to the scripture above could be by sharing your food, clothing the naked or sharing your space with the homeless, honestly the he list is endless, but be careful to give your alms according to the Holy Spirit’s leading and you shall be gloriously blessed.
