THE SEED
“Say to them, ‘As I live,’ says the Lord, ‘just what you have spoken in My hearing I will
most certainly do to you;” Numbers 14:28 AMP
The above scripture is God’s response to the careless talk of the Israelites in His
presence during the wilderness journey from Egypt to the land of promise. This set of Israelites said, in their apprehension in response to the negative report brought to them about God’s promised land, that “It would have been better to die in Egypt or even here in the wilderness!….” (Numbers 14:2). In response, God said that He will do what they have said, and they all died in the wilderness.
As children of God and carriers of His presence, the main thing about walking by faith and not by sight is the positive confession we boldly make during our challenges or situations we cannot understand. In fact, except on rare occasions, when God would do what He had to do despite our unbelief, most of the time, the fulfilment of God’s promises to us depends on our positive confession and faith. If we allow what we can see and experience to take preeminence over what God has said, it simply implies that we don’t believe or trust God to do what He has promised, and this can make us miss the fulfilment.
PRAYER
Lord Jesus, help me to walk by faith and not by sight all the days of my life. Amen

Ọrọ mimọ ti o wà lókè yí jé idahun ti Ọlọrun fún àwọn ọmọ Israẹli nípa ọ̀rọ̀aibikita wọn níwájú Rè̩ nínú irin-ajo wọn lọ sí ilẹ ìlérí. Nínú ẹrú wọn awọn ọmọ Israẹli wonyí sọ wípé, “Awa iba kuku ti kú ni ilẹ Egipti! tabi awa iba kú li aginjù yi! ” (Num 14:2). Ọlọrun sí dá wọn lohun wípé oun yíò ṣe fún wọn gẹgẹ bī ọrọ ẹnu wọn, wọn sì kú sinú aginjù.
Gẹgẹ bí ọmọ Ọlọrun, ohun tí o jẹ kókó nipa bíbá Ọlọrun rìn nínú ìgbàgbọ tí kī ṣẹ ti ara níi sísọ ọrọ rere pẹlu ìgboyà ni akoko idojukọ wa. Nitotọ, Ọlọrun lè ṣiṣe rè láìsí ìgbàgbọ eniyan,
sugbon ni ọpọlọpọ igba, imusẹ ìlérí Ọlọrun dúró lórí ọrọ rere wa ati ìgbàgbọ. Bi a ba fi ãye gba awọn ìrírí ti a nrí lati jọba nínú ọkàn wa jù ọrọ ti Ọlọrun sọ lọ, o ja sí
wípé, a kò gba Ọlọrun gbọ láti ṣe ohun tí o ṣe ìlérí rẹ̀, èyí sì lè jékí ìlérí náà mã wa sí imusẹ.
