Fueling His Glory

THE SEED
Whether therefore ye eat, or drink, or whatsoever ye do, do all to the glory of God. 1 Corinthians 10:31

God’s majesty, radiance, splendour, and beauty make up his glory. Praise, worship, thanksgiving, and admiration are offered to God, which fuels His splendour. He makes use of the adoration, praise, devotion, and thanksgiving to uphold and beautify His creation. Our primary goal in life is to glorify God, so this should be the focus of all of our thoughts and deeds. Whatever we do as followers of Christ Jesus—eating, drinking, dressing—should be done to honour the name of Christ Jesus and our heavenly Father. When we do so, our Father and our Lord Jesus Christ will respect and honour us, and they will move in closer to you and establish a home with you (John 14:23). God expects us to feel something in reaction to who He is. All that God requires in return for His presence is a broken heart of gratitude, a burning yearning for Him, and perfect obedience. Spiritual passion should not be taken for granted or handled lightly since it has to be fed in order to stay warm. Additionally, until you are fervently pursuing God’s glory, you will never genuinely be content. The best way to glorify God is to joyfully pursue his glory.

PRAYER
O Lord, I pray against any distraction that will make me relent in the fervent pursuance of your glory. Amen.
