A Living Hope

THE SEED
I can do all things through Christ which strengthened me. Philippians 4:13

Hope is the conviction or anticipation that something will occur. If not, we could feel discouraged, depressed, or even hopeless. So how can we maintain our optimism? Initially, keep in mind the source of our assurance: our relationship with Jesus. We are given a live hope upon salvation (1 Peter 1:3) because God has transformed us into a new creation free from the power of sin (2 Corinthians 5:17). We are full of His Spirit. Our ultimate home is in heaven with Christ since we have been called co-heirs with Him. Spend time reading the Bible next. The Bible was written to give us comfort and hope, according to Romans 15:4. The Psalms are particularly beneficial in trying times because they express the authors’ true emotions and offer solace. Thirdly, put your trust in the Lord’s fidelity. We can always rely on Him to work in our favour. Christians shouldn’t respond to challenges the same way the rest of the world does. We should live by faith instead, having “belief in what we hope for” (Heb. 11:1 NIV). When life gets you down, remember Jesus. Look for uplifting passages in His Word and be reminded of the blessings you have in Christ (Ephesians 1:3-8).

Oh Lord, give me the strength to have faith in you and look up to you whenever there is challenges, Amen.
