THE SEED
“He was in the world, and the world was made through Him, and the world did not know Him. He came to His own, and His own did not receive Him.” John 1:10-11 NKJV
Rejection is not an interesting situation, yet it is one of the emotional experiences we would have to deal with it in life because we have been called to both the death and resurrection of the Lord Jesus. Jesus went through rejection throughout His ministry on earth but God’s grace carried him through. One thing we must understand as children of God is that our way of life can not be pleasing to the people of the world who may turn out to be our families, spouses, children, parents, friends and colleagues, who are not in the Lord yet. It can be painful when you discover that your people reject you, one might be able to ignore rejection from outsiders but it’s a challenge to face it with our people. But we have consolation and encouragement in the Lord that even our Lord Jesus was rejected by His own too, even in the world He created, and Isaiah 53 expatiated on His level of awful rejection but in the end, he reigns the King of kings and is given dominion over all. So be admonished brethren, the grace that took Jesus through is also available for you too, just keep your focus on the cross like Jesus and not the people and God will show up to strengthen you and give you the expected end.
PRAYER
Lord Jesus, I ask that you sustain me in faith and make me less bothered by rejection from known and unknown people. Amen
