“Oh, fear the Lord, you His saints! There is no want to those who fear Him. The young lions lack and suffer hunger, But those who seek the Lord shall not lack any good thing.” Psalms 34:9-10 NKJV
As believers, we are saints of God’s Kingdom. The scripture above is directed at Saints and not unbelievers. You can ask ‘ I thought Saints are perfect people, why then are the Saints asked to fear God?’ yes it is true that Saints are perfect people of God but as long as we are still living in the world of sin, we are exposed to errors of the wicked which can tarnish our sainthood which we received through grace from our Lord Jesus. More than ever it is most important to be deliberate about allowing the fear of God to prevail over our needs so that we don’t allow lack or difficult situations to push us into the error of the wicked. The Lord is true to His words, he will take care of us. The world is full of lack, distress and anxiety but if only we fear God in our deeds and actions and not be led into evil by any means, then His word will come through for us as said by the Psalmist- Oh, fear the Lord, you His saints! There is no want to those who fear Him. The young lions lack and suffer hunger, But those who seek the Lord shall not lack any good thing.
PRAYER
Lord, may I not lose the kingdom of heaven because of lack.
