Rekindle My Fire Oh Lord

THE SEED
“Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world, if any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him.” 1 John 2:15

To rekindle means to bring back, that is, to stir up ones Spiritual life, which has reduced to the point of losing one’s first love for God, leading to lukewarm attitude to spiritual things, worldly cares, anxiety, lusts, pleasures and pressures that are not acceptable in the sight of God. As believers, it is our responsibility to keep the fire burning both in our hearts and in our souls. Now that the Kingdom of God is at hand, we need God more than ever! This is never the time to get cold at all. We must go back to our creator, rededicate our lives to Him and renew our commitment by allowing our Spiritual fire to blaze hot. “Cleanse your hands, ye sinners, purify your hearts, ye double minded” (James 4 : 8). Where is your praise, your prayer life and your Quiet Times before the Lord? Be awakened today for the husbandman is close to you than ever before, for every branch in Him that bears no fruit will be cut off but as you draw nigh to Him He will draw up nigh to you.

BIBLE READING: John 14:1-9

PRAYER: Oh Lord my God, help me to rekindle my spiritual fire so that I may reign with you in Heaven in Jesus name. Amen.
