Useful Vessel

THE SEED
“And God wrought special miracles by the hands of Paul” Acts 19:11

God can decide to use you as a vessel through whom He will be doing wonders on earth. This is one thing every believer should pursue. In Acts 5:12-16, the Bible tells us about the great wonders that God performed through the Apostles and how He even healed the sick through Peter’s shadow. If the shadow of a man begins to heal the sick, definitely that man has become a vessel for wonders. If you want to become a vessel for wonders, you will have to really deny yourself of many things. Apostle Paul was without any doubt a vessel for wonders because his handkerchiefs and aprons worked miracles. If you must be a vessel you have to stay away from anything that is considered unlawful; stay away even from things that are lawful but not expedient. It is not unlawful to eat, but when you want Him to do wonders through you, fasting will become a regular practice for you. You will have to spend more time with Him praying and studying the Bible than you spend with other people. Moses, the man through whom God parted the Red Sea, spent more time on the mountain than below it. Indeed, he was so accustomed to the presence of God that the Lord spoke to Him face to face (Exodus 33:11). Elijah – the man who called down fire on Mount Carmel and shut the heavens over Israel for three years was always found on the mountain (2 Kings 1:9). You have to offer yourself as a living sacrifice unto God (Romans 12:1), if you want Him to use you. If you really want God to make you a useful vessel unto His Glory, be prepared to pay the price.
