The Burning Bush

THE SEED
“And when the LORD saw that he turned aside to see, God called unto him out of the midst of the bush, and said, Moses, Moses. And he said, here am I.” Exodus 3:4

While Moses was tending the flock of Jethro, he got to Horeb – the mountain of God, and there something strange happened. He looked and saw that the bush was burning, yet it was not burnt up. Moses found this rather strange so he said: “I will go up and see this strange sight – why is there fire and yet the bush is not consumed.” When he got closer, God spoke to him from the midst of the burning bush.As a child of God, there may be times when you are faced with a ‘burning bush’ kind of situation. A disturbing situation that you cannot explain. This may be financial, marital, career, your health or even your spiritual life. Like Moses did, approach your ‘burning bush’ situation as though God is trying to talk to you from the midst of it. Do not be distracted by the fire but be anxious to hear the voice of God from it. Though it burns, you shall not be consumed!
