THE SEED
“Yet in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us.” Romans 8:37
Paul guaranteed the Romans that “… we realize that everything works together for good to the people who love God… ” (Romans 8:28). Indeed, even as he wrote those words, Paul
figured out the tensions and torments of this life. He had been whipped, beaten, stoned, wrecked, hungry, stripped, and cold – for the purpose of the Gospel (2 Corinthians 11:23-28). He
was not recommending that those things are good. He was proclaiming that when we look at troubles of life from angle of God’s goodness, it shapes and forms us. We consider battles to be
a season to acquire strength. Unshakable certainty gives our spirits an assurance that God is on His throne, and everything will turn out great. We make the determination to rejoice in the day that God has made, to be glad right now (Psalm 118:24). We are living in an unpredictable world. There are steady disturbances to our “normal life” including sickness, relationship issue, and monetary difficulty. Nonetheless, we have a God who is more prominent than these things and the distractions they cause. Indeed, even in circumstances that satan plans for evil, God will reclaim them to achieve His great purposes. He has caused us to be more than conquerors!
PRAYER
Father Lord, in the freedom I have in you and the hope of eternal life, let everything work together for good in the life of my family and I. Amen!
