All Work And No Rest

THE SEED
“And on the seventh day, God ended the work which he had made; and he rested on the seventh day from all his work which he had made.” Genesis 2:2

God is the author of life. In him we live and have our being. He made us in His image and likeness. He is the God of all wisdom. No one knows better than him. He made man on the sixth day of creation. After creating the heaven and the earth, including man, he rested on the seventh day, showing us the importance of rest. Also, whilst giving the ten commandments to Moses, he included a day of rest. Even Jesus, the son of God, the savior of the world was found sleeping in the midst of a storm. Why then will you because of pressures of this world refuse to rest? God knows the importance of rest to our bodies before he recommended that we rest. Many have died untimely because of lack of rest. Remember, whatever he tells you to do, it is important that you do it. If you be willing and obedient, thou shall eat the fruit of the land. We cannot claim to know or understand our bodies, more than the God of all flesh, our maker. So, you need to work, eat, rest and serve God.
