BLESSINGS COME FROM TRUSTING GOD
THE SEED
“But blessed are those who trust in the LORD and have made the LORD their hope and confidence, they are like trees planted along a riverbank, with roots that reach deep into the water. Such trees are not bothered by the heat or worried by long months of drought. Their leaves stay green, and they never stop producing fruit. Jeremiah 17: 7- 8
Hannah faced financial difficulties in her business facing impending redundancy of staff. She prayed, and God gave her the Scripture, Jeremiah 17:7-8, as her regular prayer line. The reality of the situation that Hannah faced was described in those two verses: drought and heat, but she concentrated on the good news, which were blessings, trust, confidence, no fear, greenery, and a non-stop production. Contrastingly, verse 5 says, “This is what the LORD says: “Cursed are those who put their trust in mere humans, who rely on human strength and turn their hearts away from the Lord.” She became energised and had a better business plan. Things gradually turned around for the better for Hanna’s business, and she was happy that God showed her what to do, and the business blossomed based on her dependency on His marvellous works. In 2 Kings 4:1–7, the widow was in despair at the debt she had and the prospect of losing her sons. She approached Elisha, under whom the husband was training before he died. The Lord blessed her and she paid off her debts. We need to draw strength from God, the maker of heaven and earth. His words come alive to work for us and to reassure us. Because Jesus is alive, His words are also alive. He is a present help in times of trouble. He will make everything of yours perfect, and to survive, just be encouraged to keep looking upon Him.
