CREATED IN HIS IMAGE
THE SEED
“Then God said, ‘Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness; let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over the cattle, over all the earth and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth.’” – Genesis 1:26 (KJV)
In Genesis 1:26, we find the extraordinary truth that God intentionally created humanity to reflect His image and likeness. This divine design sets us apart from every other creation. Being made in God’s image means we have the capacity for love, justice, creativity, and the ability to understand right from wrong. Our lives are meant to represent God’s character in this world. However, this privilege also comes with responsibility. As image-bearers, we are called to steward the earth wisely, exercising care and dominion over the environment and all living creatures. This responsibility isn’t just about authority; it’s about managing what God has entrusted to us with love and respect. Our identity and purpose are deeply rooted in this relationship with God. Knowing we are made in His image should shape how we see ourselves and how we engage with the world around us. Let us walk confidently, knowing that we are created with dignity and purpose, living to reflect the heart of God in all we do.

PRAYER: Heavenly Father, thank You for creating me in Your image. Help me to reflect Your love and character in every aspect of my life. Guide me as I care for the responsibilities You’ve given me, and may I always walk in the purpose You’ve set before me. Amen.
