DO NOT NEGLECT YOUR DIVINE RESPONSIBILITY

DO NOT NEGLECT YOUR DIVINE RESPONSIBILITY
THE SEED
“Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters,” Colossians 3:23 NIV

God has entrusted each of us with specific tasks and callings that are part of His greater plan. It is essential that we remain faithful in fulfilling these responsibilities, as they are not only for our growth but for the advancement of His kingdom. In Matthew 25:14-30, Jesus tells the Parable of the Talents, where servants are given talents by their master. Those who used their talents wisely were rewarded, while the one who neglected his responsibility was rebuked. This parable reminds us that God expects us to be diligent with the gifts and opportunities He gives us. The above Scripture encourages us, that whatever we do, we should work at it with all of our hearts, as working for the Lord, not for human masters to reward us. When we approach our responsibilities with this mindset, it means that we recognise everything we do has eternal significance. We must be warned against Ignoring what God has called us to do, this is not only a missed opportunity but a disobedience to His will which attracts God’s punishment. Therefore beloved of Christ, let us commit to not neglecting our divine responsibilities, knowing that we serve a faithful God who has equipped us for every good work and will also reward us according to our diligence.
