THE SEED
“Then assembled together the chief priests, and the scribes, and the elders of the people, unto the palace of the high priest, who was called Caiaphas, and consulted that they might take Jesus by subtilty, and kill him.” – Matthew 26:3–4 (KJV)
Those who thought they were on the Lord’s side were in fact opposing His will. The scribes, priests, and elders—people who held religious authority—plotted to kill Jesus. Likewise, Paul once persecuted the church thinking he was serving God. It’s not enough to bear a religious title; our lives must align with God’s will. Constant self- examination is crucial so we don’t become enemies of God without knowing it. True r i g h t e o u s n e s s e x c e e d s r e l i g i o u s performance; it flows from a heart surrendered to Christ.
