GOD CAN FIGHT FOR HIMSELF

“And when His disciples James and John saw this, they said, ‘Lord, do You want us to command fire to come down from heaven and consume them, just as Elijah did?’” – Luke 9:54 (NKJV)When people speak against what we hold sacred, the natural human reaction is often to rise in defence. But God Almighty does not need anyone to fight His battles for Him. He is not weak or helpless. He is the Sovereign God—the Creator of heaven and earth, able to defend His name and execute justice in His time. James and John wanted to call down fire on those who rejected Jesus, but Jesus rebuked them. He came not to destroy men’s lives but to save them.
As His followers, our calling is to reflect His love, not to act as His enforcers. God can fight for Himself, and He can defend His name better than we ever could.

PRAYER: Lord, help me to keep my peace while You fight and defend Your name. Teach me to reflect Your love and not my anger. Amen.
