God Is The Strength Of A Christian

THE SEED
Strengthen the weak hands, and make firm the feeble knees. Say to those who are fearful-hearted, “Be strong, do not fear! Behold, your God will come with vengeance, with the recompense of God; He will come and save you.” Isaiah 35:3-4

There are so many verses in the Bible that tell us to be strong and fear not, proving that it is up to us to do so. The Lord gave us the freedom to choose and He will not force us to be brave if we choose to panic and complain. But if we ask the Holy Spirit to strengthen us and help us to be courageous, He will do it. The enemy will not stop fighting against us because we are tired and we are already in big trouble, on the contrary, he knows we are more vulnerable and will not miss the opportunity to try to destroy us. Satan did not spare Jesus while fasting for forty days in the wilderness, why would we think he would spare us? But the good news is that we do not fight alone. The Holy Spirit lives in us and He is right there when we call on Him for help. We have to remember that the Lord will always “come with vengeance” for the ungodly ones who hurt us, in His perfect timing. God is righteous; He punishes the oppressor and saves the oppressed. Jesus, the Messiah won the battle with Satan, when He arose from the dead; He will come again to punish those who persecuted His people and to reward all of us who belong to Him.
