THE SEED
“But the Lord said unto Samuel, Look not on his countenance, or on the height of his stature; because I have refused him: for the Lord seeth not as man seeth; for man looketh on the outward appearance, but the Lord looketh on the heart.” – 1 Samuel 16:7 (KJV)
While people focus on outward appearance, God looks at the heart. Eliab looked like the perfect king, but God saw what man could not see. Who you are on the inside matters far more to God than what you display on the outside.
A pure heart is what pleases Him. Outward appearances may impress people, but only the heart reveals our true nature before God. Therefore, believers must intentionally guard and purify their hearts, because God is constantly looking within.
BIBLE READINGS: Psalm 139:1–12 (KJV)
PRAYER: Lord, may You always find in my heart what pleases You. Let the meditations of my heart be acceptable in Your sight, in Jesus’ name. Amen.
