GUARDING AGAINST HYPOCRISY
THE SEED
“Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away.” — 2 Timothy 3:5 (KJV)
It is possible to appear godly outwardly yet deny God’s transforming power inwardly. Many in today’s church carry religious titles but not Christlike hearts. Wickedness such as pride, hatred, envy, gossip, and unforgiveness can thrive where love should dwell. Jesus rebuked the Pharisees for such hypocrisy, warning that outward religiosity without inner transformation leads to destruction. God is love, and He calls His people to reflect that love daily—not just in words but in actions. Let us examine our hearts and return to true holiness. It is only a pure heart that can see God and shine as light in a dark world.
