HIS COVENANT IS BINDING IN RIGHTEOUSNESS
The Seed
“Change the way you are living and the things you are doing, and I will let you go on living here. Stop believing those deceitful words, ‘We are safe! This is the Lord’s Temple, this is the Lord’s Temple, this is the Lord’s Temple!’”Jeremiah 7:3-4 GNT“
For whatever reason, you can’t exchange the righteousness of Christ with your own self made believe, it’s not acceptable to God. You can not take the grace of God and continue to live a sinful life without expecting the repercussions. Whatever you are enjoying from God is backed up with the covenant of righteousness, if you would not walk in righteousness, such blessings will be truncated by your unrighteousness. God did give the Israelites the land of Canaan as promised, but the unrighteousness of the Israelites was so provocative that God sent the above message to them through Prophet Jeremiah. They believed that because of God’s temple in the land they were safe and free to do whatever they want. Do you also think because you are a special child from God, or you’re a pastor’s child, or you or your family have built a church it’s enough reason to misbehave? Please learn from the Israelites and walk in righteousness to continue to enjoy God’s gift.
Prayer
Holy Spirit, please teach me to love righteousness and abhor evil so that I will continue to enjoy your blessings. Amen
