I AM REDEEMED

THE SEED

”Let the redeemed of the Lord say so, Whom He has redeemed from the hand of the enemy,“ Psalms 107:2 NKJV

Redemption refers ultimately to the work of Christ on our behalf, whereby He purchases us, at the price of His own life, securing our deliverance from the bondage and condemnation of sin. It is our responsibility to proclaim to everyone who cares to listen that we have been redeemed by the precious blood of Christ and that they can be, too. By doing this, it shows to God that we know the essence of the redemption work on us. If you have been looked down upon like Ruth because of your status and origin then you will understand her situation when Boaz married her and God accommodated her in the plan of salvation for all people. In Ruth and Naomi’s lifetimes, the Israelites looked down upon the Moabites, considering them to be an inferior people. In selecting Ruth, God chose one of the least expected persons as the basis for the lineage of not only the future king of Israel but for the Messiah who would save the world. God’s choice to include Ruth in the story of divine redemption shows that his grace is for all people and that no person is too insignificant to be used for His glory.

As I imagined Ruth in her days, I could feel her gratitude to God. Today we are enjoying the greater privilege of being redeemed into the family of God by Jesus, let us proclaim our experience and give glory to God always.

PRAYER: Father I pray that you help me to continue to proclaim your redemption work in my life always. Amen!
