Keep Your Mouth So To Keep Your Life

THE SEED
“He that keepeth his mouth keepeth his life: but he that openeth wide his lips shall have destruction. Proverb 13:3(KJV)

Wickedness is the order of the day. We must watch where we talk, what we say and when to talk as well as who we talk to. It is wise to always guard our mouths to watch what comes out at all times. Careless talk can give away valuable information that can wreck one’s destiny and wise words can lead one to a breakthrough. It is not wise to give all your information to people all in the name of friendship. Some things can be best kept within you for your good. If only the man of God from Judah (1 King 13) had not divulged too much information, he might have not gotten trapped in the falsehood of the old prophet. The Bible says the secret of the Lord dwells with His people, God sent him a message and told him how to go about it, the message is for the person he was sent to and the instruction on how to go about it is for him to keep and obey, but unfortunately, he gave everything out and was exposed to the attack of the enemy, got into the web of falsehood and got killed in foolishness. Brethren, don’t be like the cock that invites the fox to touch the comb on its head and when the fox knew the comb didn’t burn as it thought, the fox came closer, touch it, and took a bite. Be reserved.

PRAYER
May the Lord help me always to be on guard so as not to destroy my destiny with careless talk in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
