LET YOUR MOTIVES BE PURE

LET YOUR MOTIVES BE PURE

THE SEED
“But as we were allowed of God to be put in trust with the gospel, even so we speak, not as pleasing men, but God, which trieth our hearts.” — 1 Thessalonians 2:4 (KJV)

As believers, our ultimate goal should be to please God, not to seek human approval or recognition. It is natural for people to crave acceptance and admiration, but our focus must remain on glorifying God in all that we do. While others may judge us by our outward actions, God sees the true intentions of our hearts. We cannot deceive Him. That is why we must regularly examine our hearts, ensuring that our motives align with His will. Jesus taught that the pure in heart will see God (Matthew 5:8). Purity of heart means putting God first in our thoughts, words, and actions—without hidden agendas or hypocrisy. Even if our actions appear good to others, if our motives are impure, we may forfeit our heavenly reward. Let us strive to live with sincerity and integrity, seeking to honor God above all else.
