OBEDIENCE IS BETTER THAN SACRIFICE

THE SEED
“Disobedience is as bad as the sin of sorcery. Pride is as bad as the sin of worshiping idols. You have rejected the LORD’s command. Now he rejects you as king.” 1 Samuel 15:23 KJV

These words were spoken to King Saul when he disobeyed God by sparing the Amalekite king and the best of their livestock, thinking he could offer them as sacrifices. God desires obedience more than offerings or sacrifices. His instructions are meant for our well-being, and disobedience often leads to troubles and hardships. For example, God calls us to rest after each day’s work, yet many ignore this principle and overwork themselves to exhaustion, leading to poor health. Obedience also extends to eating healthily, caring for our bodies, and serving Him wholeheartedly. Fasting, prayer, and Bible study are all ways we can obey God’s Word and live according to His purpose. Let us heed His instructions and follow the guidance of the Holy Spirit, knowing that His commands are for our good.
