OBEDIENCE SUSTAINS JOY
THE SEED
“Keep me obedient to your commandments, because in them I find happiness.” Psalm 119:35 (GNB)
True joy in Christ is sustained through obedience to God’s Word. The enemy knows this and often tempts believers to follow their own will rather than God’s. Disobedience weakens our joy, distances us from God’s presence, and gives room for frustration. David understood that obedience is not always easy, which is why he prayed for grace to stay obedient. Sin may promise temporary satisfaction, but obedience brings lasting joy and strength. Walking in obedience means guarding our words, choices, relationships, and conduct against anything that grieves the Holy Spirit. When we choose to obey, we position ourselves to enjoy uninterrupted fellowship with God and the joy that comes from it.
Reflection: Obedience to God is the key to lasting joy.

PRAYER: Father, keep me in obedience to Your Word so that my joy may remain full. Amen.
