Prerequisites To Receiving Your Heart Desire

PREREQUISITES TO RECEIVING YOUR HEART DESIRE

THE SEED

“Trust in the LORD and do good; dwell in the land and enjoy safe pasture. Take delight in  the LORD, and he will give you the desires of your heart.” Psalms 37:3-4 NIV

Firstly, according to the above scripture, we need to trust God. We can only trust God  when we know God, accept Jesus as our Lord and Saviour, and have a meaningful relationship  with Him. When we trust God, we want to do good. We do good by accomplishing our purpose  in life and being kind to other people.

Secondly, there’s a location, an area or destination for us in God’s plan. Until we get  there, we might find it difficult to enjoy God’s safe pastures. Safe pasture represents the  unceasing provision of God for us to live our lives in joy, peace, and righteousness.

Lastly, to have our desire in the Lord means that we must submit such desire to God  and measure it with His own desire for us. This can only be achieved by taking delight in God,  maintain an uninterrupted relationship with the Lord Jesus, studying the scriptures, listening to  the Holy Spirit’s directions, and doing all things for Christ’s sake and not for our own gain.  Joseph is a typical example. He trusted God enough to keep his relationship with God by not  doing wrong. Eventually, Joseph got to the palace where God’s good pasture awaited him. PRAYER

Lord Jesus, help me to trust you. Lead me to my land of good pasture and help me to  continually take delight in You all the days of my life. Amen
