RECEIVE NOT THE GRACE OF GOD IN VAIN

RECEIVE NOT THE GRACE OF GOD IN VAIN

THE SEED

“We then, as workers together with Him also plead with you not to receive the grace of God in vain…” 2 Cor. 6: 1 NKJV

Grace can be a difficult thing to clearly define because it is a very deep and broad concept in Christianity. Grace is what God has bestowed upon you that sets you apart from everybody else. It can also mean, how God has empowered you to be the person you were created to be. Grace is God giving you something you did not work for or deserve to have. It can also be defined as the different and unique opportunities God brings your way. Our scripture today warns us not to waste those opportunities. ‘What opportunities?’ you may ask. Every day you wake up is an opportunity, no matter how it looks or feels. Your location at present is an opportunity. Your challenges are an opportunity. The people you have in your life are an opportunity. Your unique gifts and abilities are an opportunity. Your strengths are an opportunity; for they are God-given for a particular task. Even your weaknesses represent an opportunity for you to grow and improve. Your weaknesses also allow you to demonstrate what a mighty God you have. If you take a moment to thank God for all that is in your life, you will see how much grace God has bestowed upon you. Ask the Holy Spirit to open your eyes and change your mind to notice the opportunities around you today. The Bible is warning us because we will all give our report to God one day, of what we did with His Grace.

PRAYER: Heavenly Father, help me to see what You see so I do not waste the grace You are giving to me, in Jesus’ name. Amen.
