REMAINING FAITHFUL IN A CORRUPT WORLD
THE SEED
“The earth also was corrupt before God, and the earth was filled with violence. So God looked upon the earth, and indeed it was corrupt; for all flesh had corrupted their way on the earth.” — Genesis 6:11- 12 (NKJV)
During Noah’s time, the world was filled with wickedness, violence, and corruption. People had turned away from God, choosing their own sinful ways over His righteousness. Yet, amid this darkness, Noah remained faithful. He walked with God and found favour in His sight (Genesis 6:8-9). Today, we live in a world that often mirrors the corruption of Noah’s time. Sin is rampant, and godly values are often ignored or even mocked. However, just as Noah stood firm in his faith, we are called to do the same. God desires His people to walk in righteousness, even when the World around us chooses a different path. No matter how dark things may seem, God sees and rewards those who remain faithful to Him. Let us choose to walk in obedience, standing firm in our faith, and God’s values and trusting in God’s promises, knowing that He will always guide and protect those who seek Him.
Beloved of Christ, let’s challenge ourselves to be the Noah of this time to make our heavenly Father pleased as we go about our activities in this perverse world.
BIBLE READING: Genesis 6:5-12
PRAYER: Heavenly Father, in this world filled with corruption and sin, help me to remain faithful to You. Give me the strength to walk in righteousness, even when it is difficult. Let my life be a testimony of Your truth and grace in Jesus’ name, Amen.
