SPIRITUAL GROWTH

THE SEED

“But grow in grace, and the knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. To him be glory both now and ever. Amen” 2 Peter 3: 18

Growing in the spirit of the Lord is the best growth to seek after. When this happens, it affects our outward appearance positively. We become a shining light and an ambassador of Jesus anywhere we find ourselves because we have chosen to live more in the spirit than in the flesh. Physically, man cannot live or grow without food, also man cannot grow spiritually without the words of God and prayers. You need to walk in the ways of the Lord because he alone is the wisdom you need to scale through as the Bible says in Colossians 1: 10 That ye might walk worthy of the Lord unto all pleasing, being fruitful in every good work, and increasing in the knowledge of God. Spiritual growth is important to man’s life because it brings joy into one’s heart and also gives us the right to exercise our authority as a child of God. One of the benefits of spiritual growth is that one’s spiritual eyes will be opened to the things of heaven and this will enhance physical behaviours, so to grow in the spirit of the Lord, one needs to pray without ceasing, read, meditate and abide by the words of God and do not forsake the gathering of the saints.

BIBLE READING: Colossians 2:6-10

PRAYER: May the Lord increase me in wisdom, knowledge and understanding and give me the strength to walk in his ways. Amen
