STIFF-NECKED PEOPLE

THE SEED

“I have seen these people,” the Lord said to Moses, “and they are a stiff-necked people.” Exodus 32:9 NIV

Stiff-necked people are people who have refused to obey God’s commandments. They adore the creature more than the creator and they do not follow the will of God. No matter how big or small you think your sins are, God is waiting for you to change your heart of stone and come back to him. He doesn’t want the death of a sinner, but He wants them to come to repentance. Moses pleaded on behalf of the Israelites who were disobedient but now we have someone greater than Moses; Jesus Christ, who is the mediator between us and God. He is standing in the gap for us every time and pleading on our behalf always. Come back to Jesus if you have gone astray and if you are still in Christ, check if you are still in faith. The Lord’s coming is nearer than ever, no unclean thing shall enter the kingdom of God and He is not delighted in you being destroyed.  God was angry at the Israelites and He almost destroyed them, but Moses pleaded on their behalf, how much more Our Lord Jesus Christ who came to die for our sins? Don’t be stiff-necked and give your totality to Him today and follow His will.
