TESTIMONIES ARE MEANT TO ENCOURAGE PEOPLE, NOT SHOW OFF

TESTIMONIES ARE MEANT TO ENCOURAGE PEOPLE, NOT SHOW OFF

THE SEED

“I am the LORD: that is my name: and my glory will I not give to another, neither my praise to graven images” Isaiah 42:8 KJV.

Yes, we all speak of what we know, and we testify to what we have seen, still, you people do not accept our testimony. Looking at the world today we can see that people no longer truly testify to what God has done in their lives but to show off to people how victorious they are as if they are the ones performing the wonderful works. We see many people in the church, who always come out to give testimonies on how God provides them with good work, how they are earning much from their work, how their salary is huge, how their children built a very big mansion, but not saying all this to encourage people that there is nothing impossible for God to do, but to show off their success which is not supposed to be. We are Christians we should encourage our fellow brethren who are down through our testimonies that God can do what seems impossible. Also, we should acknowledge God’s work through our testimonies. That is when God will know we are grateful for what he has done and He will be pleased to do more. Let us learn how to give testimony appropriately, not to make people jealous, but to encourage them.

BIBLE READING: 1 Corinthians 4:7-12

PRAYER: Lord help me to understand the best way of giving testimony, in such a way that people will be encouraged and have faith in you. Amen
