The  Compassionate One

“But when He saw the multitudes, He was moved with compassion for them, because they were weary and scattered, like sheep having no shepherd.” Matthew 9:36

A compassionate person is merciful and not only are they concerned about those that are going through tough times and facing challenges but they also do something about the situation and help the person out of the problem. Our Lord Jesus Christ is a compassionate One. He loves everyone even if you haven’t given your life to Him, He can be ready to help. Some people help because they can help, some because they want to be famous and some don’t mind if they cause further harm while trying to help, all these without compassion is just show-off. Even if you are gifted with many spiritual gifts and you are not compassionate, it may not be acceptable in the sight of God and it may all amount to nothing meaningful. Follow the example of the only Son of God. Be loving and compassionate to others.

Lord help me to be filled with compassion in my dealings with others in Jesus’ name. Amen.
