THE KING OF EGYPT DIED

THE KING OF EGYPT DIED

THE SEED

“And it came to pass in process of time, that the king of Egypt died: and the children of  Israel sighed by reason of the bondage, and they cried, and their cry came up unto God  by reason of the bondage.” Exodus 2:23 KJV

The above refers to the experience of the children of Israel in Egypt under the  oppressive rule of Pharaoh. The experience spanned over 400 years. It is important to note that  this enslavement was foretold by God unto Abraham, including their future deliverance.

It is significant that the king of Egypt died. The king represented the system of  government that was against the people of God, but he died a mere mortal contending with an  immortal God.

Every child of God facing challenges should be encouraged by this. Neither the devil nor the oppressive system of this world can cancel God’s plan. God remembered His covenant with  Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. He will do the same for any of His children who cry out to Him in  prayer.
