Ways Of Thinking

THE SEED
If indeed you have heard Him (Christ) and have been taught by Him, as the truth is in Jesus: that you put off, concerning your former conduct, the old man which grows corrupt according to the deceitful lusts, and be renewed in the spirit of your mind, and that you put on the new man which was created according to God, in true righteousness and holiness. Ephesians 4:21-24

Jesus is the absolute truth and both He and the way He lived His life are the perfect example for us. As Christians we are the Lord’s followers and we should learn from Him. We need to renounce our old life styles and to completely put off our former nature. The lusts of our carnal nature, led us to sin and corrupted our old self. But God made our restoration possible by the renewing of our minds. By the revelation of God’s Word, through the Holy Spirit, the sinful old way of thinking is being replaced with God’s truth. The more we change the way we think, replacing the worldly mindset with God’s way of thinking, the more we change for the good and sin less. God’s Word is powerful and as it is revealed to us by the Holy Spirit, it works out our transformation and we become the person that God created us to be. The more we mature spiritually, the more we will have of the righteousness and holiness that come from God’s truth.

BIBLE READING: PSALM 139:23-24

PRAYER: Help me Lord to live accordingly to Your will and become more and more the person that You created me to be, having true righteousness and holiness in the Name of Jesus. Amen.
