Trials Are Inevitable

THE SEED
“Beloved think it not strange concerning the fiery trial which is to try you…” 1 Peter 4:12

Scripturally the word ‘Trial’ means difficult situations and unpleasant experiences we must pass through as Christians to gauge our faith in the Lord and suitability for the task ahead of us. According to the scripture above, as Christians, we should not see trials as strange because our faith must be tried before we become suitable for the task and glory assigned to us. Jesus Christ our role model was led to the wilderness by the Holy Spirit to be tried in the hands of Satan. Because He was aware of the task ahead of Him, He had prepared Himself so the trial was not strange to Him and He was victorious. Afterwards, Angels came to minister unto Him. When you understand the purpose of trials it helps not to see them as strange experiences, more so as Christians, we can not escape trials. But we should prepare our minds to know that trial is inevitable so that anytime we find ourselves in trials, we can take our stand. As it was important for Jesus to be tempted, so also it is for us as Christians to be tempted to know whether we are suitable or qualified for the task ahead. No one conquers without being on the battlefield to fight and it is anyone that fights and wins that will receive the crown of victory. So be encouraged to stand firm in the Lord during the test of your faith so that our father in heaven will be glorified. Before we can be praised, honoured and glorified, our faith must be tested by trials.
