UPHOLDING GOD’S DIVINE ORDER

UPHOLDING GOD’S DIVINE ORDER
THE SEED
“Give careful thought to the paths for your feet and be steadfast in all your ways. Do not turn to the right or the left; keep your foot from evil.” — Proverbs 4:26–27
God elevates individuals through the knowledge and wisdom He graciously imparts. However, humanity often misuses these gifts in attempts to redefine or alter His original creation. Proverbs 4:23–27 urges us to guard our hearts, minds, and bodies against misinformation, misguidance, and ungodly influences that seek to distort His truth. In today’s world, perspectives on marriage and relationships are rapidly shifting. Despite these changes, God’s original design remains unaltered. The Scriptures reveal foundational truths that continue to guide us. In Genesis 2:21–23, we see that God created only male and female, establishing marriage as a sacred union between the two. He did not create another man for Adam, but instead formed a woman as his suitable companion, emphasising a complementary design between male and female. Furthermore, Eve’s creation from Adam’s rib highlights their unity and shared purpose. Adam’s declaration; “This is now bone of my bones and flesh of my flesh”; highlights God’s purpose for marriage and shows how special their union is. God’s design is not only evident in creation but was also reaffirmed during the time of Noah. In Genesis 7:9, God instructed Noah to bring animals into the ark two by two, male and female. This further confirms that even in moments of divine judgment, God maintained His natural order for the preservation of life. From the beginning until now, God’s design has never changed. As believers, we are called to uphold and honour His divine order in our understanding of gender, relationships, and marriage, regardless of shifting societal norms.

PRAYER: Lord, keep me from the foolishness of rejecting Your truth and exchanging Your glory for worldly desires. Help me to honour and thank You always, so that my heart remains steadfast in Your wisdom.
