WALKING IN STEP WITH THE HOLY SPIRIT

WALKING IN STEP WITH THE HOLY SPIRIT

THE SEED
“Since we live by the Spirit, let us keep in step with the Spirit.” — Galatians 5:25 (NIV)

When we accept Jesus Christ as our Lord and Saviour, God gives us His Holy Spirit to lead, guide, and sustain us on our journey toward His kingdom. The Spirit directs our steps, helping us to navigate life’s challenges and uncertainties. However, our human nature often struggles with God’s timing. We may grow impatient, wanting things to happen faster than the Spirit is leading, and at times, we may even lag behind, hesitant because we don’t fully understand His ways. As followers of Christ, we must recognise that the Holy Spirit is not given to us to explain every step before we obey. Our responsibility is to trust and follow, even when the path seems unclear. Walking in step with the Spirit requires faith, patience, and a willingness to surrender our own pace to God’s perfect timing.
Apostle Paul reminds us in Galatians 5:25 that since we live by the Spirit, the only right response is to stay in step with Him—not rushing ahead or falling behind. When we align ourselves with the Spirit’s leading, we walk in God’s will and experience His peace, strength, and direction.

BIBLE READING: Galatians 5:16-18
PRAYER: Lord Jesus, Help me to trust and walk in step with Your Spirit, even when I don’t fully understand the way ahead. Strengthen my faith, teach me patience, and keep me from running ahead or falling behind, in Jesus’ name, Amen.
