THE SEED
“When I was a child, I spoke as a child, understood as a child, and thought as a child: but when I became a man, I put away childish things” 1 Corinthians 13:11
When Apostle Paul said “when I was a child, I talked, thought, and reasoned like a child. Now I am a man, I put all childish ways behind me”, he was describing the forward and upward journey of a Christian. Remember this powerful defender of the Faith was at one time a murderer and persecutor of Christians. But after he met Jesus, he realised he could not do anything to change his past, but he could make the best use of the present for a glorious future. Are you still living in the mistake of your past? Do not allow the misdeed of your past to get in the way of your life. If you remain in your past, you will lose sight of the greatness that God has ahead for you. When you accept Jesus, you become a new being with a new understanding. There’s nothing wrong with learning from your past but it is unprofitable to dwell in the past. If a driver looks through his rear-view mirror more than he looks through his windshield, a crash is inevitable. Think about this.
PRAYER
God, give me the strength to grow from my past into the glorious future You have prepared for me. Amen
