CHRIST, OUR REDEEMER

CHRIST, OUR REDEEMER

THE SEED

“In whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace.” Ephesians 1:7 KJV

When we sin, we deserve to die, however, God, through His everlasting love, has given us a second chance to live through the death of His Son, Jesus Christ. He is our Redeemer. Redemption is the process whereby Christ died willingly on the cross of Calvary, His blood was the ransom to purchase believers from slavery to sin and to bring us back to God. Redemption allows us to have eternal life and gives us freedom from the power of sin. We are saved, when we believe in Jesus Christ and give our lives to Him after asking for forgiveness. Because He died for us, we are saved by grace. He cannot die individually for us whenever we are ready to give our lives to Him. However, he died once and for all, while we were still sinners.  He gave us the Holy Spirit to live within us and access to eternal life. Before Saul became Paul, he was against the Christians, persecuting and killing them because he was an unbeliever. After he met Christ, his attitude and behaviour changed, but his reputation made others doubt his conversion to Christianity. However, Paul showed himself as a genuine convert, preaching and winning souls for Christ. Despite his conversion, the Romans sought to kill him and committed him to prison many times. Through his zeal for the work of God, he wrote many of the letters in the New Testament. No matter what you have done, God can change you and use your story for His good to glorify His name. Through redemption, we are reconciled to God, which invariably leads to victorious living, protection from evil, flourishing and the Holy Spirit enables us to be perfect towards doing great exploits.
