SPOKEN WORDS
THE SEED
“But I say to you that for every idle word men may speak, they will give account of it in the day of judgment.” Matthew 12:36 NKJV
Words reveal the heart and shape the world around us. Gossip, deceit, and contempt leak from a sick heart; truth, grace, and encouragement flow from a healed one. We cannot tame the tongue by willpower but the Holy Spirit can transform the well from which our words spring. Let your speech be “golden”: no harsh jabs, coarse jokes, bitter retorts, or boastful claims. Speak truth in love, bless your enemies, and season your words with grace. When your vocabulary bows to Christ, your conversations begin to heal, build, and guide. Before you send it, say it, or share it ask if it’s true, kind, necessary, and helpful. Heaven is listening, and so are hurting people. Let Christ cleanse your heart so your mouth can minister life.

PRAYER: Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be acceptable to You, O Lord. Amen.
