THE SEED
“The name of the man was Nabal and the name of his wife Abigail. And she was a woman of good understanding and beautiful appearance, but the man was harsh and evil in his doings. He was of the house of Caleb.” — 1 Samuel 25:3 (NKJV)
Nabal came from the lineage of Caleb, a man of great faith. Yet, Nabal’s life showed no trace of Caleb’s faith or godliness. This shows that inheritance of blessings is not the same as a personal walk with God. Many today enjoy the results of the faith of their forefathers without building their own relationship with God. But God does not just bless names—He blesses obedience, humility, and faith. To benefit fully from a godly heritage; you must personally walk with God to secure His promises for your life.
Reflection: Inheritance can open doors, but personal walk helps you walk into it for lasting satisfaction.
