THE SEED
“Nevertheless, I have somewhat against thee because thou hast left thy first love.” Revelation 2:4-5[KJV]
Many a times the already redeemed soul feel dissatisfied amid believers and the presence of God. The sermon is not meaningful again, prayers seem like noise, even quiet moments with God is being disturbed by distractions. Memory of intimacy with Christ make the soul shiver, like the time God called on Adam in the garden of Eden where he was hiding because he ate from the tree of knowledge of good and evil, disobeying God’s instruction. The first love became cold. Be awakened! Remember therefore where you have fallen. Repent, and start doing the work you were doing at first. The door is not locked, you can have a good relationship with God in Christ again. He has given you more breadth that you might use to seek, cry, and wait on Him. Even the disciples of Jesus after His death, went back to fishing. They would have remained purposeless if not for the love He had for them to call them back to Himself. Even Simon Peter, of all people, has to jump into the sea
when he realized that Jesus has resurrected, and He came looking for them. He felt ashamed of himself.
PRAYER
Help us o Lord, hold us tightly so as not to stray away from Thy presence when we are weak in Jesus Name. Amen.
