Vessel Unto Honour

THE SEED
“If a man therefore purge himself from these, he shall be a vessel unto honour, sanctified and meet for the master's use and prepared unto every good work.” 2 Timothy 2:21.

A vessel of honor is an instrument utilized by God to ensure that humans experience His goodness, love and favor and ultimately salvation. God desires to use
worthy, sanctified vessels to achieve His aim. As human beings in our various households, we desire to use clean vessels in the form of utensils to eat and drink. Also, God wants His children and vessels of honour to be clean and fit for His use. A vast number of people need to experience the love, mercy and goodness of God through His children for the expansion of His kingdom. In order to qualify to be a worthy vessel, we must hunger and desire God’s presence in our lives, dissociate ourselves from unholy associations, unholy behaviors, and seek God with a pure heart. We must allow God to work on our weaknesses through persistent prayer and study of the word of God. This will make us more and more like our Master and fit for His use.

PRAYER
Most Holy Father, please make me a worthy vessel of honour in your kingdom. Let my life bring honour and glory to your name. Amen.
