THE SEED
“A bishop then must be blameless, the husband of one wife, vigilant, sober, of good behaviour, given to hospitality, apt to teach” 1 Timothy 3:2
God wants His leaders to be able to teach His Word to the coming generation, so His Word will still be relevant to the next generation. If this does not go on, there will come a generation that does not know the Word of God and that generation will be a tool in the hands of the enemy. The world takes its notions of God, most of all, from the people who say that they belong to God’s family. What we truly believe will show in how we act. If we say God can be trusted, but fail to trust Him, we bring a reproach on His name. It is pertinent to mention that being “blameless” not only refers to moral purity, but as we will see it also refers to doctrinal purity. The true leaders are the ones who are responsible and accountable to the people they lead. That is what leaders do, they lead, leading the people into blamelessness, being a moral example. To be blameless is basically to live like Christ. Being blameless is not just a call for the leaders of the society, but it is a call to every Christian. Every one of us, as Christians should be blameless and should be beyond reproach. Let society see Christ in us.
PRAYER
Heavenly Father my life is in your hand, let me not bring reproach to my life, help me to be blameless in your presence Amen
