THE SEED
Blessed is the man that endureth temptation: for when he is tried, he shall receive the crown of life, which the Lord hath promised to them that love him. James 1:12
It is difficult, if not impossible, to expect Christians to maintain their faith in a society that has been fully trained to demand quick fulfilment. According to the introductory verse, Christians will get various benefits, including those for withstanding temptation. Some Christians might be surprised by this, but the Bible does not contain any lies, so it must be true. But difficulties and trials are not the only aspects of the Christian life. God is aware of our trials and promises to turn them to our advantage and the glory of Himself. When the difficulties are through, God will show His satisfaction with us by rewarding us for maintaining our resolve during the ordeal. You will undoubtedly be required to endure difficulties as a Christian, both material and spiritual. Every life experiences difficulties and trials; no one is exempt. This verse should motivate Christians who are facing temptation to persevere through it in order to win the crown of life. Christians who endure temptation to the very end demonstrate their love for Christ in addition to gaining the crown of life. You will face temptation as a test of your love, and you must persevere through it to receive the crown of life.
