THE SEED
“I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd gives His life for the sheep. But a hireling, he who is not the shepherd, one who does not own the sheep, sees the wolf coming and leaves the sheep and flees; and the wolf catches the sheep and scatters them.” John 10:11-12 NKJV
This world we are in seems so different from that of our forefathers in terms of Shepherd and the sheep. In the times past one can emulate the good attitudes of the Shepherd and their zeal to serve God, they are dedicated to the Lord and the flock, trustworthy, truthful, in fact, Christ-like in behaviour and worth emulating. But these days there are more false shepherds than truly called ones. They are wicked, self-centred, arrogant, boastful, ritualist, talkative, backbiters and conspirators. As a sheep, if you discover that you worship under a false Shepherd please run for your dear life. Christ is no more with them, or they might not even be with Christ in the first place. They are only concerned about their pockets. The Bible refers to them as hirelings and not shepherds. Pray and ask the Holy Spirit to lead you to the true shepherd of God’s fold. Don’t allow any false Shepherd that does not do the will of the Father to lead you to hell.
PRAYER
I pray to God to open my eyes to understanding and not to be led astray in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
